Using Deceased Online you can search UK burial and cremation registers, free of charge, by Region, County, Burial Authority or Crematorium.

To perform a quick search

Simply enter the name of the deceased, and optionally a burial or cremation date range, and click the search button to retrieve the matching records. Only the Surname is mandatory for a search; the other fields will allow you to refine the search and return fewer records to view.

Results are returned in a simple table, showing up to ten entries at a time. If your search has returned more than ten records then you may browse through these records by clicking on the Next 10 and Previous 10 buttons.

If you have information which could be used to refine your search further, click on "Advanced Search" to go to the advanced search facility.

Once you think you have found the register entry you are looking for, you can view a free summary of the types of information that are available for that entry, which you can view as a registered user. This information can include:

• Computerised registers
• Digital scans of registers
• Photographs of graves and memorials
• Cemetery maps showing grave locations
• Grave details including other occupants
• Digital scans of book of remembrance pages

Click on the information you wish to view, and if you are registered, logged in and have credit available then you will be taken to those details. Otherwise you will have a chance to login, register or purchase more credits before being taken on to that information.
